David Soveranez
Administrative Services Deputy Director
David Soveranez brought more than 20 years of finance experience in state government to NMDVR when he joined the agency as Administrative Services Deputy Director in early 2023. Soveranez is responsible for the integration of administrative operations of the entire agency related to financial management, loss control, contracts, fleet management, fixed assets, inventory, grants, and leases. Soveranez works with the leadership of all NMDVR units to develop budgetary goals, objectives, activities, policies, procedures, and resources necessary to support the overall agency mission.

His fiscal management experience in the public sector includes serving as Accounts Receivable Manager for the New Mexico Department of Information Technology; Financial Director for the Department of Health’s Public Health Division; Acting Chief Financial Officer, Budget Manager, and Fleet Coordinator for the Children, Youth, and Families Department; Federal Bureau Chief and Fiscal Officer for the State Parks Division of the Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD); General Ledger Manager for EMNRD; Financial Manager for the Department of Cultural Affairs; and Financial Specialist for the First District Court of the State of New Mexico.

In the private sector, he was a Business Analyst with the Intel Corporation.

A resident of Santa Fe, Mr. Soveranez holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from New Mexico State University.
