The NMDVR has helped people with disabilities find or retain work for decades.
The agency exists to help you reach your work goals. This means working around barriers due to disabilities.
NMDVR services are work driven. You will be involved in making informed choices and working to succeed. Once eligible, you and your counselor work closely as a team. Like others, you may feel undecided about what type of work you may like. However, as you work with your counselor, you will clarify and define your goals. You make and agree on a plan of services that is individualized for you to succeed.

How do I begin?
Apply for services at the office nearest you. Any person with a disability that lives in New Mexico may apply for NMDVR services. Staff will schedule you for your first meeting, an “Orientation” to NMDVR, at the office where you applied.
