Our Leadership

Rudy Grano serves as the Rehabilitation Services Unit (RSU) Deputy Director of Client Services for the New Mexico Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (NMDVR). In this statewide leadership role, he provides strategic oversight for the delivery of vocational rehabilitation services, guiding regional operations through Field Operations Directors and the Transition Director. Rudy ensures that programs comply with federal mandates, meet performance benchmarks set by the Rehabilitation Services Administration, and advance the Vocational Rehabilitation State Plan. He is a champion for collaboration, bringing together workforce agencies, educators and community partners to expand employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities across New Mexico.
Prior to his appointment as RSU Deputy Director, Rudy was a Field Operations Director with NMDVR, overseeing offices in Rio Rancho, Gallup, Albuquerque Quail, Farmington, Las Cruces, Silver City, and Alamogordo. He brings nearly 30 years of public service experience, ranging from federal roles with the U.S. Census Bureau and U.S. Army to leadership positions in state government. At the Aging & Long Term Services Department, he served as Director of Special Projects and Deputy Division Director of Administrative Operations for Adult Protective Services.
Rudy holds a Master of Forensic Science and an MBA with a concentration in Management and Leadership. His professional credentials include Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile Certified Practitioner certifications from the Project Management Institute. Outside of state government, he is a successful small business owner, offering strategic project oversight, artificial intelligence consulting and mediation services to support communities. Through his experience and commitment to service, Rudy continues to advocate for individuals with disabilities and strives to strengthen vocational rehabilitation services across the state.
